Delete Your Account

Last updated: 1 July 2026

You can permanently delete your Hum account, operated by Expient, and its associated data at any time, directly within the Hum app. This page explains how, and what is removed or retained.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Hum app and sign in.
  2. Tap your avatar in the top-left corner to open your Profile.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Choose a reason and, when prompted, type delete to confirm.
  5. Tap Delete my account. Your account is deleted right away.

If a report about your account is currently under review, deletion may be briefly held until that review is complete.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your profile — username, email, avatar, gender, date of birth, and interests.
  • Your connections and your conversation history.
  • Your voice notes.
  • Your reputation (warmth) score, votes, preferences, notification settings, and device tokens.

What is retained

To keep other users safe and prevent abuse, we retain a minimal record — the phone number you signed up with and an internal account identifier — so that blocks remain in effect and previously removed users cannot simply return under the same number. We may also retain limited records where required to comply with a legal obligation. This retained data is not used to contact you, market to you, or build any profile of you.

Can’t access the app?

If you are unable to sign in, email us at support@expient.in from the phone number or email associated with your account, and we will process your deletion request.
